Mark Colan sets up a Kildare attack against Louth during the Leinster JFC semi final clash at Drogheda

Kildare 2-19
Louth 0-8

Kildare are through to their first Leinster junior football championship final in five years after thumping Louth this evening in Drogheda.

The Lilywhites were comfortable from start this finish in this one as Barry Noone's early goal helped them pave the path towards a commanding 1-11 to 0-4 half-time lead which, in the end, would prove unassailable for the visitors.

Frees from Robbie Quigley and Robbie Curran helped to take a bit of tarnish off the scoreboard early in the second-half for Louth, but their campaign was over once a pair of frees from Noone were backed up by a well-taken Mark Colan goal which made it 2-14 to 0-6.

From there, Brian Travers, Eoghan Lawless (2), Declan Campbell and John Jennings rounded off the scoring for the winners as they moved towards a provincial decider date with holders Meath on June 24th.
