Cork school pulls out of All-Ireland final at last minute

The Lidl Ladies All-Ireland Post Primary Schools Junior 'C' final was due to be held in Duggan Park, Ballinasloe

Tomorrow's Lidl Ladies All-Ireland Post Primary Schools Junior 'C' final is off after one of the competing teams said they wouldn't be fielding.

Duggan Park in Ballinasloe was due to host the clash of St. Clare's CS, Manorhamilton and St. Mary's High School, Midleton but, in a surprise development, the latter sent an email to the Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA) just one minute before the close of business yesterday evening confirming that they wouldn't be fulfilling the fixture.

It remains to be seen if the final will be rescheduled or if St. Clare's CS will be awarded the title.

In a statement, the LGFA said they were "left with no choice but to accept the decision from St Mary's not to play the game, and St Clare's Comprehensive, Manorhamilton, have been informed."
