Wexford club Naomh Eanna have received a huge boost ahead of this year's campaign following the news that inter-county star Cathal Dunbar's transfer has been given the green light.

Amid controversy, Dunbar moves from his home club Ballygarrett to the Gorey based club where he will link up with his county colleague Conor McDonald.

Ballygarrett have stressed that they would fight the transfer all the way, but following two hearings the Wexford CCCC have agreed to the player's request for a transfer.

The CCCC agreed to the move after Dunbar gave proof that he was residing in Gorey, a claim that his home club had disputed since the transfer was first aired.

Dunbar has featured in all four of Wexford's NHL games this year and is set to push for a starting place come the new look Leinster SHC.
