Mickey Harte admits he is concerned over the possible outcome of Tiernan McCann's knee scan.

The Tyrone powerhouse underwent a scan yesterday after hurting his knee in a collision deep into injury time during the Red Hands' dramatic Division One win over Kildare in Newbridge on Sunday.

The Killyclogher clubman has developed into one of Harte's most important players and the long-serving Tyrone boss hopes the diagnosis is reasonably good:

"It is a bit worrying for us. He hurt his knee in the last few minutes and he had to come off," he is quoted in The Irish Independent.

"He does need a scan. We are hoping that it is a bang and a bruise more than anything else, but until that is confirmed by a scan we don't know what the situation is."
