Former 'Footballer of the Year' Bernard Brogan has sustained a cruciate ligament injury.

The 33-year-old didn't feature in Dublin's win over Donegal on Saturday having originally been named in Jim Gavin's starting 15.

The Herald is reporting that the five-time All-Ireland winner sustained the dreaded injury in training.
