Whether it be mind games or not, Nemo Rangers manager Larry Kavanagh believes it is only right that Dr Crokes are favourites for this weekend's Munster club SFC final.

The reigning Munster and All-Ireland champions renew rivalries with the Cork kingpins on Sunday afternoon as both sides have impressed in the campaign so far.

Crokes are 1/3 to retain the title, while Nemo are a decent price at 3/1 and Kavanagh told the Kerryman those odds are about right.

"We all know that the bookies are rarely wrong and they have Crokes at 4/9 and we are somewhere around 9/4 or something like that and I think that is pretty fair," stated Kavanagh.

"2010 was our last success and the Kerry champions have won it four times since then. We were the standard bearers for a while, but since then Crokes have been so having them as favourites seems to be about right.

"Two years ago we received a sucker punch against Clonmel Commercials and that took some time to get over but we have pretty much the same team now as we had then.

"Of course the lads have learned a lot since then and hopefully we can use that experience on the pitch. I think we go into Munster a little fresher than we would have in previous years after a hard county championship.

"The two finals against St Finbarr's worked us really hard and that should have helped us. You need to keep playing the competitive fixtures."
