Na Piarsaigh forward Kevin Downes believes they would be crazy to look ahead to an All-Ireland club SHC final.

The four times Munster champions have an All-Ireland semi-final date with Ulster kingpins Slaughneil to look forward to next February before any thoughts can swing to the final on St Patrick's Day.

Downes told the Limerick Leader that they are just focusing on one game at a time, no matter how boring that may sound!

"It's not the exciting thing to say but we take it one game at a time - we got caught before in 2011 and 2013. We are going to have to take this one more game at a time," said Downes.

"It will be February and conditions could be anything and no matter who you are playing at this stage it will be a serious test. It's an All-Ireland semi and we are no fools and we won't look past that."
