Veteran Armagh defender Andy Mallon remains undecided as to whether or not he'll extend his inter-county career into 2017.

Family and work commitments are factors that are being considered by the Orchard County ace who first broke onto the scene back in 2003 as he ponders his gaelic football future.

"I was talking to 'Geezer' after the Laois game and he said: 'I don't even want to talk to you 'til Christmas, go and take some time and think things over," Mallon revealed to The Irish News.

"I'm still thinking about it at the minute, I haven't come to any decision.

"The pros are always the same and they're never going to change - I love playing for Armagh, I love wearing the jersey. I wanted to do it my whole life and since I have been doing it I've loved every minute of it.

"The cons are that I'm living in Dublin now, I've a family and I've a lot more commitments now. It's tough with work and that's what pulls me in the other direction."
