Galway captain Shane Walsh has picked up where he left off before the Covid-19 shutdown by notching an impressive tally of 1-11 on his club championship return.

The 2020 Allianz Football League's leading scorer, with 2-29 to his name after five rounds, was in scintillating form yesterday evening when leading Kilkerrin-Clonberne to a 3-14 to 0-7 victory over Killererin in the Galway IFC.

Relegated from the senior ranks last year, Padraic Joyce's Killererin were put to the sword in a 16-point first round defeat at Tuam Stadium.
