Jamie Clarke posted 1-4 as Longford defeated Donegal by 1-15 to 0-10 in Gaelic Park last night to reach the New York SFC final.
The former Armagh captain, who played for New York in their Connacht SFC quarter-final extra-time defeat to Leitrim back in May, was in sparkling form as Longford - who were only reformed a few years ago - set up a final date with either Monaghan or St. Barnaba's.
The sides had been level on 0-6 apiece at half-time, but the winners never looked back after Clarke dispatched a 38th minute penalty. Longford natives Brian Kavanagh and JJ Matthews also impressed in the win.
