Sligo manager Cathal Corey has been pleased by the way his charges have prepared for this weekend's All-Ireland SFC qualifier against Armagh.

The sides meet at Markievicz Park on Saturday evening with a win bringing the victors one step closer to the newly formed Super 8s.

Corey has been delighted with the attitude of the players since their Connacht SFC semi-final defeat to Galway and the Tyrone native told the Sligo Champion that they are in a good place ahead of the Armagh clash.

"Since the Galway defeat we were back on the Wednesday night," said Corey. "It was a tough few days, but the boys are back at it now for Armagh. It is difficult you know when you have a defeat like that is tough.

"Especially when the boys give their lives to play for Sligo but the target is to get them going again and we have just been working away and doing our best in training to get ready for Armagh."
