Former Armagh captain Jamie Clarke is training with New York ahead of their Connacht SFC first round clash with Leitrim in May.

New York manager Justin O'Halloran confirmed to the Irish Independent that the much-travelled Crossmaglen man is on board.

"Jamie is with us. We've been training for the last few weeks after taking a break for Christmas," the Cavan native said.

Following commendable performances against Roscommon and Sligo in the last two years, the Exiles will have high hopes of recording their first ever Connacht SFC victory when Leitrim visit Gaelic Park on May 6.
