Limerick continue to set the pace in Division Four after their thumping 5-10 to 1-14 victory over promotion rivals Wicklow at Rathkeale.

This crucial top-of-the-table clash didn’t disappoint and it was Billy Lee's upwardly-mobile Treaty County who maintained their 100% record and put one foot in the third tier thanks to goals from Michael Donovan, Danny Neville, Robert Childs, Iain Corbett and Seamus O’Carroll, substitute Gearoid Murphy netting for the Garden County.

Meanwhile, there was also a glut of goals at Wexford Park, where Wexford prevailed by 4-15 to 1-9 against London to leapfrog Wicklow and move up to second place on the table, just two points behind Limerick.

Paul Galvin’s charges led by 2-11 to 0-2 at the break courtesy of quickfire majors from Tom Byrne and Mark Rossiter, the latter and Glen Malone raising green flags in the second half. The Exiles continue to prop up the league, pointless.

At Gleneavy, Antrim kept their promotion hopes alive when a late rally saw them draw with Carlow, 0-11 to 1-8, despite having had captain Declan Lynch sent off. Sean Gannon’s goal put the Barrowsiders on course for their second win but late points from Conor Murray and substitute Ordhan Eastwood earned the Saffrons a share of the spoils as they moved onto five points, just one behind the Model County.
