Loughgiel are the first team through to this year's Antrim SHC final after they dethroned Dunloy in Ballycastle yesterday.

James McNaughton hit 0-8 as the 2012 All-Ireland club champions restricted the holders to just two points in the second half. A Donal McKinley point was all that separated the sides at the end of an evenly-contested opening half before Kevin Molloy tied up the scoring four minutes after the restart.

But it was Loughgiel after that as scores from McNaughton and sub Shay Casey paved the way for a 0-14 to 0-8 victory. Dunloy's misery was complete when Nicky McKeague was sent off in the closing stages.

In the other semi-final in Dunloy on Saturday, a late Ciaran Johnston free earned St John's a 1-16 apiece draw with Cushendall. Neil McManus top-scored for Cushendall with 0-8, while Donal Carson grabbed 1-2 for the Johnnies.
