Athlone celebrate their Westmeath IFC final win at Cusack Park Mullingar
A senior football manager in the midlands is celebrating after scooping his club’s lotto jackpot of €15,600.
Athlone manager Eoin ‘Joey’ Jordan has been congratulated by the club after his big win last week. The lucky numbers were 6, 10, 23 and 30. As well as managing the record Westmeath SFC winners, Jordan is deeply involved in coaching at the local Marist College where he is a member of the teaching staff.
His father Kevin is a stalwart of Southern Gaels Hurling Club in the town and was Westmeath minor board secretary up until a few years ago.
There were also three Match 3 winners in the draw who received €70 each. The new jackpot goes back to €2,000.
