Most straight forward way is to plug a hdmi cable from the tv into the laptop and then hit the source button on your remote control to change it to the right HDMI port. If you already have a hdmi lead plugged in to a separate set top box you can just plug it out of the set top box and straight into you laptop and it will just work straight away. plug it into tv via hdmi cable or else just use the browser on smart tv to search for gaa go and login as normal im nearly sure ive done that before

Get yourself a HDMI cable and connect your laptop to the TV. Ive done it before, the quality was better than expected.

This thing of fixtures being decided is lies,,there is no decision made yet by RTÉ on what match is being shown on last day of Munster round robin..so the story of changes to tv schedule,if they want a o bloody change stuff they can.. True and not true. It's always the case at the outset of the year that exact matches are picked for TV coverage, until the closing games of the round robin in both Munster and Leinster. This is so they can wait until that week and decide which is seen as the more important. For example (and this is purely hypothetical), there'd have been no point at the start of the year in selecting Tipp v Clare for live TV that day, in the expectation that they'd be playing for second & third place and a crack at Limerick in a Munster final - only to maybe end up with a situation where one of them is guaranteed a place in the final anyway, the other one is already out, and it's actually Limerick v Waterford that has more on the line. The RTE package for the year is all set out in the graphic you'll find in the middle of the Irish Times story here: https://www.irishtimes.com/sport/gaelic-games/2024/03/29/rte-announce-schedule-of-live-gaa-matches-for-next-five-months/ link You'll see that for last weekend, for example, the package for the year was that they'd show just the Leinster and Ulster Football Finals. Wouldn't have been as simple as just coming last week and deciding "oh, we'd like to show Cork v Limerick in the hurling as well". In fairness, isn't that a reflection on streaming in general (i.e. trying to get a signal from one device to another), rather that being specific to GAA GO? I always just use a HDMI cable from the laptop to the TV myself. It's foolproof. So long as you have a laptop in the first place! Depends on the TV you have. My main TV is an LG Smart TV that I bought about four years ago. It doesn't show up in the store on that one. A friend of mine has a newer LG model bought just last year, and the app shows up for him all right.
