Agree with you. That's 2 very weak minor teams we have had in a row. We need to stop the rot or we will erode all the progress that was made over the last few years

No sign of round two yet. This is two weeks after round 1 was released meaning that players now have one week less to organise time off etc.

An absolute disgrace, never mind that it's the 17th of May and the league hasn't even started. The amount of concessions in the spring league show what clubs think of it. There needs to be a major shake up in sligo football but no one will listen. Likes of Dublin are halfway through their league and Mayo have 2 rounds played. Why are we so different that we can't even tell lads when they will be playing?

Our league should be well underway at this stage. Clubs have zero interest in the warm up leagues. They might have if they were played in March/early April. Club football is now reduced to 4/5 months depending on how you get on in the championship. I can see why there's no day or time for Round 2 of the league. The CCCC have to wait for the Sligo v Antrim game to be fixed first.

They could just fix all the games for the Friday evening, avoiding any clash and also let players enjoy the bank holiday

They are normally played on the bank holiday Monday? I would fix them for Monday, no intercounty games fixed for Monday so guaranteed not to clash and gives dual players time from football on the Friday

Is the master calendar out and if not when will it be?

Well, I didn't see that result coming. Tipp were really poor. The highlight for me was the gobsh.e that was introduced at half time with us cruising and he still managed to pick up 2 yellow cards. I won't be surprised if he doesn't get a run again. MC Entee is like that, you let the team down and the boss doesn't tend to forget. Other than that it was a useful run out in the famous stadium, sadly the crowd was small. We will have no fear playing Antrim next.

Well a lot of us that know our football did, but, in any case being wrong is not a huge crime, calling Keenan Cawley , a long and stalwart servant of Sligo football is a cheap shot and he deserves that it be retracted.

Bit much saying it should be retracted. Winning a game easily and getting sent off is stupid. Luke Towey did similar against clare in the league and his punishment was missing a few games. McEntee doesn't suffer fools it looks like.

Oscar Wilde once said To lose one parent can be misfortune, to lose two is careless.
I would say the same about picking up 2 yellow cards in a game that's already in the bag . Some people come on these forums, name and belittle players for their performances in games. I don't do that as they try their best and maybe they are at their maximum potential. I won't withdraw an honest comment.

Well I find it strange that a person finds the highlight of a wonderful team performance the sending off of a player. Perhaps the low point! And to compound it with calling him a"g*bs**te . Poor taste especially when yellow cards are dished out for the most innocuous of fouls nowadays. The player in question has given sterling service to Sligo and deserves better from supporters.
