Offaly will play Laois in the Joe McDonagh Cup final at Croke Park on June 8th after brushing aside Kerry this afternoon.

It finished 3-24 to 0-15 at Glenisk O'Connor Park, Tullamore, where the home side had fallen 0-7 to 0-4 behind before Eoghan Cahill bagged their first goal in the 19th minute.

From there, Johnny Kelly’s charges edged in front with points from Cahill (2) and Killian Sampson to lead by 1-11 to 0-10 at the interval and they’d rattle in their second goal via Sampson 12 minutes into the second-half.

Offaly hit six unaswered points after that and stamped their final ticket when Oisin Kelly buried the sliotar into Kerry’s net with seven minutes to go.

A date with neighbours Laois now awaits the Faithful men at headquarters in just under three weeks’ time in a game which is set to act as the curtain raiser to the Leinster SHC final.
